Chapter 11

The next 2 hours are like a blur as my brain tries to process but not process what is going on. 

I wake up to Landon kissing me all over my face to wake me up. I love how he is becoming more openly affectionate, even if it is mostly in private.

“We are just about to land Amore. Lets go and take our seats”. I nod and quickly use the bathroom. I look hideous with my just woken up droopy eyes and messy hair. I quickly splashed some water on my face , fixed my hair before going out to take a seat. 

I sit in the spare seat beside Landon and Lorenzo.

“Ah, sleeping beauty is awake!”

“Nope” is all I reply as I yawn again still trying to wake up.

The plane landed smoothly and taxied to some large hangers with a long line of black SUV’s as always. 

A few men went out first to check the coast was clear, then Landon led me out with Louie following.

I was always fascinated by how this man who kissed me awake now looked ready to kill anyone who looked at him the wrong way. All the while, holding my hand tightly and putting me in the car first. 

We drove straight to my place first, while Louie and a few others continued to the house. 

Looking at my building with Landon holding firmly onto my hand was surreal. 

I was a single, lonely workaholic in my own little bubble 1 week ago. 

Before I had too much time to start over thinking about everything, a man in his 50’s with silvering black hair and a dark blue suit came over and shook Landon’s hand. 

“Enzo. This is my Kate”. Landon turned to me.

Enzo's face went from stern to a large smile. “It’s a pleasure my dear” he nodded. “The removalists will be here in 10 minutes, shall we?”

Removalists? That quickly?

Landon squeezed my hand. “Shall we?” he motioned for the front door. Oh right, I have to unlock it.

My apartment is on the ground floor with a little courtyard. It’s a simple 1 bedroom with an open kitchen/dining/living room but it was perfect for me. 

I led them in and watched as Landon looked around, taking everything in. He picked up photos and trinkets studying them all before asking if he could see my bedroom. Yes asked me!

I warned him of what he was walking into, as I didn’t know I was bringing a man back. So of course, there were clothes all over the unmade bed and the clothes hamper had clothes hanging out and beside it. The room was a bit of a mess!

He took it all in his stride though laughing a little before once again looking at my photos and trinkets. 

A few moments later, Enzo had let in the removalists. There were 3 men and a woman. She was in simple black clothes but her hair and makeup certainly made her look out of place.

“Hi, I’m Dalia. I’m here to take care of your clothes.”

“Kate, nice to meet you.” I shook her hand. “Glad to have a woman help with my mess. Sorry I didn’t know I would be moving today, so there is stuff everywhere and dirty laundry I need to take. Try not to judge me please!”

“Oh, don’t you worry about that. Now a move is as good as spring cleaning. Let's have a look and make a pile of clothes you want to take and those you want to throw away. Sound good?” That's new, I never knew removalists did that. Seems a bit fishy though.

“Sounds great. Everything in the washing hamper I want to keep, just needs to be washed, so I will put it in the back of the SUV shortly.”

“Oh don’t worry, we will do that. Now let's go through drawer after drawer. No holding back” and boy did she mean no holding back! 

She had talked me into getting rid of half of my clothes. Yes, I hadn’t actually worn any of it in a long time, but I was a bit of a hoarder and a “maybe one day” person. If I let her, I bet I would walk out with just the clothes on my back, but I need clothes and I am not buying an entire new wardrobe!

Landon just sat at my small dining table working on his phone as everything was packed and moved around him. He had ordered all photos and trinkets to be packed in the SUV without me having to say anything.

Enzo had left not that long after they started. He seemed lovely, but I wasn’t stupid, I knew he was part of their world and very dangerous!

That was my new life. Everyone may seem nice, but they were not to be trusted. This was also why I knew something was going on with Dalia, I just wasn’t sure what.



Now, with Landon holding onto my hand, we were driving to his, no our, new home. Let’s say that again, no actually, let me breathe first.

The house is in Brighton, which I should have known since it is one of the most affluent suburbs of Melbourne. He chose it as it's close to the beach and city with everything else he wanted for us. Yes us….

We drove down a leafy street with massive houses either side with big fences and gates with intercoms on them to gain entry. 

We finally stopped at a large black gate that was surrounded by tall white-rendered brick fences.

The gates slowly opened to reveal a 3-story large modern house that had been built to look like a French Chateau. It was white with cream mouldings, a grey roof and large windows. 

It was gorgeous! 

There were 2 black SUV’s parked down the side of the driveway that we passed and we went into the large 3-car garage that had 1 Black SUV already in it. 

My door was instantly opened by Louie. “Welcome home”, he smiled, as Landon walked around to grab my hand. He kissed my knuckles and led me through the door at the rear that took us through a small mudroom, then into the large kitchen.

Now this is more my style, if I could afford it! It was a grand Victorian kitchen with state of the art appliances, large cornices, marble benchtops, shaker cabinets and I could not stop looking at the chandelier over the island bench! 

It must have been a little bit obvious that I liked it, as I heard Landon chuckle “if you like this then you will love the rest of the house. Come.”

I followed him, now noticing the amazing hard wood floors to what is actually a large kitchen, dining, living area looking out into the back yard. Of course, there was a luxurious pool with its own little fountain and spa, a tennis court and then a grassed area.

The rest of the ground floor also had a formal dining room, formal lounge, office, laundry, powder room and gym at the back of the garage.

The first floor had a theatre room, a games room and 3 bedrooms with ensuites.

The top floor was smaller with a living room, 2 bedrooms with an ensuite and a massive master bedroom with a walk-in robe as big as my old bedroom and an ensuite equally as big. 

It was all bright, floorboard or the softest carpet I have ever stepped on, high ceilings and expensively furnished. I loved all the little details around the windows, cornices, ceiling roses, all of it! They really tried to once again make it feel old even though it was new. 

When I had time, I would have to really wander around and take it all in properly.

We were in the master bedroom taking it in when Landon’s arms went around my waist, pulling my back to his front. “Do you like it?”

“Who wouldn’t! It’s amazing and would have cost a fortune. Are you just renting it?”

“No. I want you to have a home here every time we come back.”

“Really?” I turned in his arms. “This isn’t just a holiday home though. It would be a shame to leave it empty while we aren’t here. It’s too much.”

This house is massive and has everything. It is a proper family home! Well, more than the family homes I happily grew up in. This is a palace!

He chuckles and shakes his head at me before claiming my mouth. 

I instantly melt into him as the fire in my veins from his very touch ignites. My body instantly reacts to him every time.

I still can’t believe this Adonis of a man is interested in me!

My hands have a mind of their own as they remove his jacket and start on his shirt buttons. He lets me as he starts walking me backwards towards the bed slowly while still devouring my mouth.

As the bed hits the back of my legs, he pulls my top over my head and expertly undoes my bra with one hand. I take off his shirt and start on his belt buckle before he pushes me on the bed.

I can’t stop the giggle that comes out of me as I land on the pillow that is the large king-size bed. 

He quickly walks back to the door, closing and locking it. Oh yeah Louie and the others! Good idea!

“Pants off” he says as he stalks back to me. His hooded eyes roaming every inch of my body, making me hotter, somehow!

I quickly do as he says and undo my jeans before ripping them and my undies off. His pants drop to the floor with a thud as he quickly takes out a condom from his wallet and throws it on the bed.

I can’t help but stop and admire his stunning body. Every inch of him is perfect, including the bulge in his boxers.

“Is that a gun in your boxers or are you just happy to see me?” Yep I can’t help myself! I scoot back on the bed as he drops his boxers and prowls over me like a predator ready to devour it’s pray.

The smile on his face instantly makes my hand come up and touch his cheek. He truly is handsome and somehow mine! 

I lean up and kiss him softly to start, but he turns it deeper by biting my lower lip before thrusting his tongue into my mouth. I can’t help the moan that escapes me.

I hear the condom pack being ripped open and my lady parts start to ache with need. I just cannot get enough of him!

I wrap my legs around him as he slowly enters me. He is always so gentle to start making me feel treasured.

I moan into his mouth at the delicious intrusion of him filling me. After a moments pause, his resolve is broken and his thrusts instantly become hard and fast. He breaks the kiss as he throws his head back and groans. I move with him arching my back, enjoying every move, every thrust, every grunt and groan he makes.

Later, my clothes from my apartment arrive with Dalia. She waves me off and tells me to stay and relax in the lounge room. 

We just ordered take away for tea. I was starving as I realised I had only had snacks throughout the day after breakfast. I slept on the flight when everyone else had lunch. Of course, Landon got angry when he realised I hadn’t eaten lunch. I told him to stop being silly but he wanted to keep the chip on his shoulder until I had eaten enough to make up for missing lunch. I was stuffed!

Leaving the guys to do some work, I decided to have an early night and get everything ready for work the next day. 

I walked up the stairs to our room and nearly needed a nap thanks to my full stomach. They are going to take some getting used to! 

I walked into the walk in robe to work out my clothes for the next day and put them in the ensuite, but it was not ready for the sight in front of me! 

My side of the WIR is almost full with not just my clothes but lots of new clothes as well. Inspecting it all closely, it was all my size and style and it was everything from shoes, lingerie, skirts, dresses, shirts, suits, even new jeans! 

I could tell it was all expensive and way out of my price range, even though none of it had prices on it. Trust me I checked! 

How??? 

Wait! Dalia! No wonder she didn’t want my help! 

Oh, Landon is so sneaky! I knew removalists don't normally do that, brat! Adorable brat, but brat!

How does he know me so well already? There is no way I would have bought any of this even if I really liked it all and even with the new “wage” he is giving me. I really need to look through that again as well and talk to him about it.

I just put it in my laptop bag to deal with later. 

But first I need to confront a very cheeky boyfriend! 

I walked back down the stairs. Yes, I am going to regret that later!

I found Landon and Louie in the office with their laptops open talking in Italian.

“Hu hum!” I leaned against the door, crossing my arms.

Louie sniggered and leaned back ready for the show. He knew what was coming. 

Landon looked up and tried to put his confused innocent face on but I saw straight through it! “Yes?”

“There seems to be some other woman’s clothing on my side of the walk in robe. Care to explain?”

“They’re yours.”

“Are they now and when did I buy them?

His smile was growing wider the more that we talked. “Dalia thought you might like them?”

“And what would a removalist know about buying clothes for women they have only just met?”

He shrugged, “She is multi-talented.” 

“You set this up. Why?”

“You didn’t have time to go shopping this weekend.”

“Are my clothes not good enough?”

Louie was watching with his head going back and forth like he was watching a tennis match with a massive smile on his face!

“Of course they are. I thought you would like some more.”

“Because I am a woman and I supposedly have to have lots of clothes?”

“No, because I wanted to. You have to learn to accept gifts!”

“But it’s too much. It’s not just one new outfit, she would have nearly cleaned out a full shop.”

“Good! You can say thank you now.” 

I narrowed my eyes at him. “What about if I refuse to wear any of it?”

“Then I will make sure the rest of your old clothes disappear while you’re at work tomorrow and you have no choice,” his smile was almost splitting his face in too. He loved this!

“Oh you’re a brat!” I knew I was never going to win this but had to challenge him none the less. “No more presents like that before talking to me first, because I can’t give you anything in return. How am I supposed to…”

“I don’t want anything except” he rubs his chin, looking me up and down “you… naked…” he starts slowly testing the waters, but I’m not letting him go further. 

“Stop that! Not with company. Sorry Louie. ” 

Louie just shrugs his shoulders still with a shit eating grin. 

“I’m going to bed”, I walked over and gave Landon a quick kiss, making sure to stay far enough away to make a run for it. He does try to grab me but I dodge it, sticking my tongue out as I briskly walk to the door. He growls at me, making me laugh “Night gentlemen”. I sing song and walk back up those stairs.
