Chapter Thirty Three

Hunter was furious. He wanted to come out and tear the rogues and this whole place down. My father was in shock, Hope's father was livid but kept control of himself. How could one of our own allies betray us like this? This meant war. 

We walked out of the dungeon and to my father's office where Alex was already waiting for us. "Tomorrow is the welcome party for your brothers' mates. I don't want to alarm anyone or ruin this for your mother and brothers." I stood with my arms folded across my chest. 

"After that we put together a plan and take him down." My father said

"Yeah the plan is I'm going to take some warriors go over there kill him and his fucking son." I said through gritted teeth. My mother walked in she could sense dad's stress level going crazy so she walked over to him and put her hand on his shoulder, he relaxed immediately.

"Honey You didn't have dinner I'm sure you're hungry." Mom said to me I don't answer. 

"I heard what happened" mom said "Zayn honey everything will be ok. Now we know who is after her and why. It's a step in the right direction." 

"Isn't Alpha Edward's son too young for a mate? I don't remember seeing him in years." My father asked mom and Brian.

"I don't care. She's mine and I'll kill anyone who tries to take her away from me." I look at their faces "Alpha Edward is a fucking dead man." 

"Alex, I want a detailed report about the fuck Edward, his mate, their children, everything." I said sternly

"Absolutely" He answers me then puts his hand on my shoulder. 

I stormed out of my father's office and up to my room, took a shower got dressed and went down to my car, her shopping bags were still there so I took them and headed for her house. I needed to see her.

Her mom opened the door she looked a bit pale, I assumed Brian had already told her the news. My breath hitched as soon as I walked in the living room, my beautiful baby was fast asleep on the couch she looked so warm. "Have you had dinner?" Katherine asks me

"I made her favorite meal but she fell asleep without dinner." Her mom says looking at her daughter.

"I'll take care of that" I say. I won't be able to sleep knowing she hasn't eaten. 

"Ok, I'll heat everything up" She says as she walks out and into the kitchen

I crouched down beside my baby and ran my fingers through her hair then down her neck. I smiled when little goosebumps appeared on her skin. This was her reaction to my touch and my touch alone. "Zayn, dinner is on the table, it's been a long day so I'll see you tomorrow I'm going to take these up to her room on my way up...goodnight." Her moms says softly as she picks up the bags. Hope is an exact copy of her mother. I don't know why I just noticed that.

"Ok good night Katherine" 

She takes Hope's bags and leaves the room I can still sense her worry. Brian is in the kitchen he picked up a bunch of files and paper work that he had in front of him then walks over to me. 

"Zayn I was just going through the files that Alex picked up from school. There are three other packs that go to the same school, the majority of the students are from the Blue Moon Pack. I'm preparing a list with the names of the students' who are seniors and another with the names who she shares classes with." He speaks in a low voice. 

"Thank you Brian you should have asked Alex to take care of that or someone from the administration." 

"I wanted to do it myself" He said before he walked away I can sense how worried he is for his daughter. I can't blame him she's his everything. I took a deep breath when my heart started beating fast. I have to remind myself that he's her father.

"Baby wake up" I kissed her lips. Her eyes slowly opened and she smiled at me "Hi" I said and as she peeked at me making me smile and. I picked her up bridal style sat down on the couch and put her on my lap she cuddled into my neck. 

"When did you get here?" she asked her eyes beamed with love for me. 

"A few minutes ago, come on lets go eat you're mom made your favorite meal." I said as I stood up still carrying her and walked to the kitchen. 

"I can walk on my own" she said as she wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me sending sparks throughout my body. 

"I like carrying you around" I put her down at the table and started filling her plate with ribs, pasta salad, and corn on the cob. She stood up, my eyes following her every move, got a bottle of wine and poured each of us a glass. The food was delicious I hadn't noticed how hungry I was until I started eating. Hope ate slowly. I knew what she was thinking, she wanted to know what happened tonight. 

We ate in comfortable silence I kept stealing glances at her, Hunter was relaxed and calm in her presence. When we finished I helped her clear the table and load the dishwasher. 

"What happened Zayn...did you find out what's going on?" She asked me. My jaw clenched as I remembered what the rogue said. 

"Yes I did but I don't want to talk about it right now." She furrowed her eyes and glared at me like the cute little feisty thing she is. "Please tell me I deserve to know...did he tell you where Kain is or the name of the Alpha?" 

I took a deep breath, lead her over to the living room I sat down and put her on my lap. 

"The rogue doesn't know the name of the fucking alpha." I paused as I looked into her eyes.

"What did he say then?" 

"He said he doesn't know the name of the alpha but his pack is the Blue Moon Pack" She looked like she was in a state of shock at first then she collected herself. 

"So this is payback because you didn't choose Stephanie for your mate.?" She tensed in my lap and tried to get up. I tighten my grip around her not allowing her to move away.

"I don't know if Stephanie is a part of this but the rogue said fucking Edward wants you as a mate for his son."

"You don't know if Stephanie is a part of this?" she repeated my words and growled at me. 

"I meant the rogue didn't mention her, baby please I'm having a fucking hard time as it is." 

"Who is his son? what's his name?" she asked, Hunter perked his ears up growling in my head.

 I squeezed her thigh "I don't care who the fuck he is and neither do you." 

She smiles at me "hmmmm I don't know maybe I should meet him first" she whines teasingly.
