Beyond Beta's Rejection

Chapter 13

(Harper’s POV)



The Beta came stomping down the hallway, his authoritative aura surrounding him, making him appear even bigger than he already was 

“All of you out, unless you want to be involved in the punishment,” he shouted at the students that were watching. They soon dispersed, and as soon as the block disappeared, Louise and Katie ran to me. I was trying to clear the blood that was pouring from a gash in my head out of my eyes, but it wasn’t slowing. Louise pulled her jumper off and placed it over my head. My wolf was weak right now, so she wasn’t able to heal me as quickly as she normally would.



The Beta got to me, took the jumper from Louise, and looked under and hissed. He then smiled at me. “Just a scratch.” I grinned, feeling a little woozy. 

“I’m not sure I believe you on that,” I said and then covered my mouth with my hand. I had shown disrespect by not using his title and disagreeing with him in public. 

He just grinned and shook his head in amusement. “I knew there was a spark of rebellion hiding in there somewhere.” He gestured for Louise to take the jumper from him again. “You are going to be a fierce match for my son, just what he needs. No wonder the moon goddess paired you two.” Despite myself and the pain I was in, I felt proud. 



There was a gasp from Donna, who I realised had not even thought of the fated mate bond being a factor. The Beta turned and growled at her. She still managed to shrink back, even with Mr. Henderson still holding her down.



“Louise…” The Beta turned back to us. “Could you take my future daughter-in-law to the office, please? We will be along shortly. And Katie, if you can go as well.”

“Yes, Beta sir,” they both said, and they each took hold of an arm and helped me stand up. I yelped as pain shot through the arm that Louise had a hold of, and she winced and moved to hold my side. The Beta saw this and turned to Mr. Henderson. 

“Greg, could you assist by transporting Miss Tobbins to the office, please?” 

“Yes, sir,” he said out loud, but I saw him lean in close to Donna. “Now maybe you’re gonna get what you deserve,” he growled, and I saw Donna whimper. I glanced at Louise, but she shrugged.



The Beta walked over to us and swooped me up off my feet, and started carrying me down the hallway.

“Come along, ladies,” he said Mr. Henderson and Miss Tobbins will be along shortly. I glanced at his face and saw his eyes clear up from a mind link and then heard a crack and a scream from down the hall. I glanced back to see Donna now standing but cradling her arm and looking terrified. I glanced at Louise and Katie, and they both had shocked wide-eyed expressions. There was obviously more to this than we all knew.



We had just gotten to the office, and The Beta had put me in a chair when I heard a car screeching outside and a door slamming. No more than a minute later, Colton came smashing into the office, and his eyes fell on me. He ran straight to me and kneeled in front of me. He pulled Louise’s jumper from my head, and I winced as part of it had dried to my head and ripped away. Colton hissed when he saw what was underneath. He then gently took my hurting arm, and I cried out as pain shot up my arm again. He leaned his head down and kissed it ever so lightly, and I felt a flutter in my stomach. 



The door swung open, and Mr. Henderson all but dragged a crying Donna into the office. She appeared even worse for wear than when we had seen her a few moments ago. Colton growled and stood up. He grabbed her from Mr. Henderson, lifted her by the throat, and slammed her into the wall, causing her to cry out.

“You dare to hurt my mate!” he screamed in her face. “You are fucking done in this pack, you and your whole fucking thieving family!” I glanced at the girls, and they were looking wide-eyed at Colton. I’m not sure if it is because of what he just said or his very obvious display of protection of me.



“Colton,” the Beta growled. “Put her down. The guards are here.” 

Colton growled in her face one more time and then simply dropped her to the floor. She landed, and I noticed one of her ankles looked bigger than the other. It hit the floor, and she screamed and crumpled to the floor.



Colton came back to me and picked me up. His previous fury dissipated. “Come on,” he said. “Doctor Roberts is waiting for us at home.” He nodded to his father and Greg, and then the girls before walking out of the door. He made his way to the school exit. 

Once outside, I could see a red sleek sports car that was heading too, and he opened the door and put me in the passenger seat. He put on my seatbelt, wincing as I cried out as my back hit the back of the car seat. 



He closed my door once I was secured in and jumped in his side, and he set off back to the pack house. I was starting to feel dizzy again, and by the time we had gotten to the pack house, I felt like I was in very real danger of vomiting everywhere. Colton opened the car door and had to jump back as I did just that. I looked at the floor where I had thrown up and started crying all-out loud sobs.

“I’m so sorry,” I cried. I felt like all I was doing was causing more mess and hassle. Maybe that girl was right when she said I was weak. Colton just smiled, eased me out of the car, and pulled me bridal style into his arms.

“Don’t worry, baby,” he said. “You have absolutely nothing to be sorry for.” He kissed my forehead, and the sparks felt more comforting than aroused. I leaned my head against his shoulder as he carried me into the house. I thought I heard what sounded like a contented grumble from him, but it must have been the delirium from the bump to my head.



We got to my room, and Doctor Richards was already waiting for us. Colton laid me gently on the bed and stepped back to let the doctor check me over. 

“We have to stop meeting like this,” the doctor said, and I giggled. Colton growled, and the doctor shrunk back a bit. I looked up at Colton and giggled again. It felt nice to see him being so protective over me. He looked at me and smiled a bright, adoring smile at me. 



It wasn’t long before the doctor declared that I had a concussion, but thankfully nothing else was broken. He ordered bed rest and once again injected some sort of fast-acting miracle pain relief into my arm, and everything started to go all floaty.



After the doctor left, Colton disappeared for a moment and then came back with a bowl. He sat on the bed next to me and pulled a cloth from the bowl with steaming water. He began to clean the cut on my head, and I winced as the hot water touched it.

“Sorry, baby,” he whispered every time I winced. “I just want to make sure you are clean before letting you rest. He worked lightly on my head and then pulled me to a sitting position before taking my jumper off and unbuttoning my blouse.

“What are you doing?” I asked as I tried to hold on to my blouse with my good arm.

“Calm down, Strawberries,” he chuckled. “I just want to see your back so that I can clean it. Plus, you have blood all over your blouse.” Oh, I felt a little silly as I let go of the blouse and let him finish opening it and undressing me. He pulled my skirt off, and I was left on the bed in my bra and panties.



He admired the sight for a couple of seconds and leaned over and kissed me.

“Even bloodied and battered, you are still the most beautiful person I have ever seen.” I felt warmth spread through me from his comment.

“Baby, I need to turn you on to your front so I can see your back,” he said, and I nodded as he slowly moved me around. I knew he was trying not to cause me pain, and I bit my lip to stop myself from crying out from the pain. Eventually, he got me on my front, leaned back, and hissed.

“I’m gonna fucking kill that skanky bitch,” he growled, and I smiled to myself. 



Felt the cloth once again across my back as he tended to those wounds. At some point, I felt my bra loosen as it was undone. The feel of the light touches of the cloth on my back started to lull me into a deep sense of calm. And it didn’t go unnoticed that Colton was leaving light kisses down my back. Every time I felt his lips on my skin, I shivered and began to feel a build-up in my lower regions. I felt the cloth graze the line of my panties just on the base of my back, followed by the feel of soft lips. I half gasped, and half moaned. Colton groaned as the scent of my arousal began to fill the room. And I involuntarily lifted my hips against his lips.

“Baby,” he whispered, his voice strained, and I felt his fingers graze my inner thigh. “Baby,” Colton said again, his voice more croaked.

“Mmm,” I sighed and lifted my hips again.

“Baby, tell me to stop if you don’t want this.” His fingers grazed the top of my thigh again, and I opened my legs to give him more access. Seeing this, he groaned and moved around the bed. 



Colton positioned himself between my legs and ran his fingers along the outside of my panties. I moaned again as the feeling sent shivers through me. I felt a slight breeze as the cloth of my panties was moved to the side, and then I gasped as I felt Colton’s fingers trace the outside before pushing through my lips.

He groaned as he felt how aroused I actually was.

“Fuck, baby, you are so wet.” His fingers connected with my nub and slowly massaged it in circles. I pushed against his fingers, and he chuckled. I could feel the heat beginning to grow, and I hitched my pelvis towards him and then winced at the pain in my lower back. He pulled his hand away, and I moaned.

“Colton,” I gasped, and he chuckled.

“Don’t worry, Strawberries,” he whispered. “I’m just gonna make you more comfortable.” He flipped me onto my back. I cried out as pain radiated up my back again, but Colton quickly pushed my legs apart. He pushed the cloth on my panties aside again and pushed two fingers deep into me. My cries quickly switched from pain to pleasure, and I felt myself clench around his fingers, and he quickly pushed them in and out of me, each building upon the heated feeling that was taking over my body. 



I felt his tongue circle my nub, and that was the final straw as I screamed as my body was overtaken with wave after wave of heated pleasure. Colton pulled his fingers free and gripped my hips, and latched his mouth on my mound as I bucked my hips to meet him. In the back of my mind, I could feel the pain in my body, but it was nothing compared to the pleasure that ravaged every never-ending. Colton kept on with the licking and the sucking as he prolonged my climax. 



Eventually, I cried out, “Stop, please, it’s too much!” He immediately stopped, and I collapsed back onto the bed, my body shivering with the aftershocks of what had just happened. Colton climbed up from the bed beside me and laid on his back, a grin on his face that rivalled the Cheshire cat. He swooped his arm under me and pulled me into him as I struggled to keep my eyes open. 

“Rest Strawberries,” he whispered and kissed the top of my head. “You can pay me back later when the painkillers aren’t dulling your system.” 



I snuggled down into his chest as his hand played along my back. My last thought before darkness consumed me was, if that was when my system was dulled, what would it have felt like without.
