Beyond Beta's Rejection

Chapter 15

(Harper’s POV)



I stared at myself in the mirror, fascinated by my new eyes. Upon closer inspection, I saw that the color radiated several gold shades in a starburst pattern that seemed to shimmer.

“Strawberries.” Colton drew my attention back to the room and the two waiting pack members. “Come here, please.” Colton had settled himself in the chair behind the desk. I walked over, and he pulled me onto his knee and wrapped his arms around my waist.

“The reason why I have called you here, baby, is that Mr. Tobbins and his daughter both currently stand accused of crimes against the pack.” I glanced up at Donna, and the man, who I now knew was Richard Tobbins, and also the pack business manager. “The Alpha decided that the whole family would be held accountable for their actions. As you were physically hurt by one of the accused, you would be directly involved in deciding the punishment.” 

I looked at Colton in shock. “Me?” I said and looked to the two across the desk and then back to Colton. “But I can’t do that.”

“You can, and you will,” Colton said. “This is all part and parcel of being in this family, Strawberries, so get used to it.” His voice held a bitter tone, and I could feel his hands gripping the t-shirt tightly.

“Erm… Okay,” I whispered. “I’m not sure what the procedure is, but I will do my best.” I shrugged and noticed that Donna was glaring at me.

“So, what are the charges?” I asked, and Colton nodded in approval.

“Donna Tobbins is accused of attacking a named rank pack member,” Colton started, but Donna interrupted.

“Wait, that’s not fair,” she exclaimed. “She wasn’t even a Beta rank until a few moments ago.” 

Colton growled, and Donna shrunk back in fear.

“And Richard Tobbins stands accused of stealing from the pack businesses to the tune of just under half-a-million pounds,” Colton finished. 

“And what punishment would you normally give out?” I asked, and Colton smirked.

“Well, both crimes are punishable by death if you so wish.”

“What?” Mr. Tobbins exclaimed. 

“It wasn’t even me. I told you, you want to speak to Darren Kirby,” Donna hissed at her father as my eyes widened in shock.

“My father is not a thief!” I shot at him, and he looked at me in shock, obviously not knowing who I was beyond the future Beta’s mate.

“You’re Harper?” and then he looked at Colton. “Well, it all makes sense now,” 

Colton sighed. “I have way more important things to do today.” He turned to me. “Strawberries, my recommendation is banishment from the pack.” I watched as both Donna and her father had a look of fear on their face. 

“Please, Beta sir,“ Mr. Tobbins said. “I swear, I will do whatever you want.” 

“I have a better idea,” I said, and everyone looked at me. “How about instead of banishment, they have the option of being stripped of rank to Omega?’’ Donna looked horrified, but Mr. Tobbins looked strangely happy about it. I turned to Colton to see what he thought and saw his eyes glazed over. They cleared up, and he smiled at me.

“The Alpha agrees and said it is a fitting punishment, well-done, Strawberries.” I blushed at the praise. He then turned to Donna and her father.

“Effective immediately, you will be stripped of high rank and will be awarded the title of omega and as such have all your assets stripped and placed into the pack's claim.” Donna began crying, but her father just nodded. 



As Colton was finishing, the door opened, and two big warriors came into the room. Colton looked at the warriors and turned to Donna and her father.

“That will be all. '' He looked down at some papers on his desk as if they had already gone. Mr. Tobbins stood and nodded to me before turning to leave. Donna glared are me and went to say something when her dad stopped her.

“Donna!” he snapped. “Now!” She glared at me again before lowering her head and following him from the room and was closely followed by the warriors. 



When the door clicked shut, Colton stopped staring at the papers and looked up at me. He smiled as he ran his hand up my thigh and under the t-shirt. 

“You did great, Strawberries,” he said as he nuzzled my neck. “I would like to show you how well you did.” I felt his fingers play along the edge of my panties, and I squirmed away without thinking. Colton growled and held me tightly with his one arm before pushing a finger inside my panties and starting rubbing right over my sensitive area. I gasped as the feel of his rough fingers against my most sensitive area set something inside me on fire. I could feel his length harden under my ass, and I found myself rubbing, grinding against it while his words were on me.



We were both panting pretty heavily when Colton pulled his fingers away to my upset. He chuckled at my protest.

“Oh baby girl,” he whispered against my ear. “I said last night that you could make it up to me.” His hand slipped under the t-shirt and against my breast as he began rolling my nipple between his fingers, and I bit my lip trying not to cry out as the sensation sent pulsing heat to my core.

“Right now, I want to see your pretty mouth work me, just like I did for you last night,” he nuzzled into my neck, nipping and kissing.

“Would you do that, baby girl?” he asked. I wasn’t sure what to say. I had never gone down on a guy, and I really honestly didn’t know what to do. 

“Baby?” he asked again. “What’s wrong?” I smiled and shook my head.

“Nothing,” I said. I stood up from his knee and turned to face him as he watched me expectantly. I kneeled in front of him, and he leaned forward and kissed my forehead. He then stood up in front of me, and I leaned forward to undo his pants and pulled them and his boxers down, allowing his member to spring free. I looked up at him, and he watched me with lust in his eyes. 



I took a deep breath, held his member in one hand, and began to run my hand up and down his shaft. I looked up again as he groaned, and then, confident that I couldn’t get this wrong, I brought his member to my lips and ran my tongue around his head. 

“Oh, baby girl,” he groaned. “That’s it, baby.” I brought his head into my mouth and tasted the saltiness of his stuff. I then began to work my way down his shaft as I held the bottom to steady him as I worked on him. I wasn’t sure if I was doing it right, but the groans I could hear from Colton made me think that I was doing a good enough job. Colton grabbed my hair and began thrusting himself deeper into my mouth.



“Oh goddess, yes!” He groaned and continued to work deeper into my mouth. The feel of his hands in my hair and the sounds of pleasure he was making were beginning to have an effect on me. I felt an ache in my lower regions. I reached down between my legs with my free hand, found my nub, and began rubbing circles and feeding the fire building inside me. I felt Colton’s hand tighten in my hair, and he growled.

“Fuck baby girl, what are you doing to me?” He pulled out of my mouth and grabbed my arm, pulling me up. I was confused until he turned me to face the desk, pushed me down, and ripped my panties away. My breathing got shallow in anticipation as he kicked my leg to the side, making room for himself. I felt his fingers as they grazed my folds, and he groaned as he felt how excited I was. 

“Fuck Strawberries,” he lined himself against my entrance and thrust inside me hard. I cried out as my hips hit the edge of the desk with force, and his member hit something deep inside me that sent a shock wave of some feeling that I could describe. Colton grabbed my hips and started to pound himself hard in and out of me, hitting that same spot each time. Soon the shock waves felt good, and then they felt amazing, and the pressure inside me was building to an almost unbearable level. Colton reached around to my front, found my extremely sensitive nub, and began working it with his rough fingers. 



The pressure exploded, and I screamed as wave after wave of red hot pleasure ripped through my body. I started to buck under Colton as he continued to pound into me, and with each hit against that spot, a fresh wave of heat ripped through me. I wasn’t sure how much more I could take when I felt Colton begin to lose the rhythm, and his grunting got louder before I felt as he came inside me. He collapsed over me, his member twitching inside me, and stayed still briefly before I felt his lips on my back. He groaned as I felt him pull away briefly before his arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me back and onto the floor. I ended up between his legs, leaning against his hard torso and his arms wrapped around me.

“I don’t know where that came from, Strawberries,” his voice almost a growl. “But damn woman, I’m up for a repeat event,” he nuzzled into my neck, and I felt shivers down my full body. “In fact, many repeat events.” 

“I don’t understand,” I confessed. I mean, it was amazing. I could still feel the echo of the pleasure that had just happened, but I didn’t understand what made it any different for him.

“Baby girl, I don’t know what it is, but sex with your fated mate is just that much better. Maybe because I am the only guy you have had tend to your sweet needs, you have nothing to compare.” I nodded. I guess that made sense.

“But baby, what just happened was something else. It was like I could not only feel your needs, but I had the uncontrollable urge to give them to you.” I turned until I could see his face, and he leaned over and kissed my nose and smiled, “Maybe it’s the spontaneous up-ranking, I dunno, but I sure as hell like it.” He nuzzled back into me, and we stayed like that for a few more minutes. I don’t know, maybe being the Beta’s mate wouldn’t be so bad after all!
