 Everyone walks in tense silence to the office. Amber sniffles, and I wrap an arm around her and squeeze her. She leans into me, and I feel comforted by that. We enter the office, and she pulls her phone from her pocket.

 “I’m going to call my grandmother,” She states and ambles over to the couch.

 “I have warriors searching the entire territory for the vampire,” Richard states. “Tony and I also will have more warriors patrolling around the packhouse.”

 “I guess that’s the best we can do until we get to the bottom of this,” I say and sit in the chair behind the desk. 

 “Hey, Grandma,” I hear Amber say. “I was almost kidnapped just now.”

 “I don’t think the vampire meant to kidnap her,” Skylar sits on the edge of the desk.

 “Come again?” I give my twin a look.

 “If that bastard meant to kidnap her, then he would have,” Skylar explains. “I think he was testing us.”

 I look at my twin while I ponder that implication. 

 ‘He makes sense,’ Castor speaks up.

 “Do you think that the vampire waits until she is alone?” I wonder.

 Skylar shrugs and stands up. We both look at Amber as she talks to her grandmother.

 “Okay, Grandma, I love you too,” She states. “Thank you.” She hangs up the phone and sets it on the coffee table. She stands and walks toward us. 

 Skylar smiles at her, and she smiles back. I like it when the two of them aren’t fighting and seem to actually love each other. He squeezes her shoulder, and she leans into him.

 “My grandma knows who the vampire is,” She states. “I guess he is the same one that tried to kidnap me when I was thirteen and got my mother killed,” She frowns. 

 Skylar pulls her into his arms as tears well up in her brown eyes. 

 She sniffles, “Anyways, Grandma says she is coming over with our relative Dawna Milford. I guess Dawna knows all about Lafayette.”

 “Does she know how to get rid of him?” I huff.

 “Dawna also knows how to put up a barrier to keep the vampires out,” she sniffles again. “In the meantime, Grandma thinks the three of us should remain together at all times,” she makes a face.

 “Do you not want to be around us?” I say as I move around the desk.

 “Not all of the time,” Amber sneers and pulls away from Skylar.

 “We don’t mind it,” I say, reaching for her. I pull her against my chest and kiss her lips while Skylar stands beside us.

 She responds to my kiss by deepening it and wrapping her arms around my neck. For a moment, we forget there are other people in the office. Someone clears their throat, and Amber pulls away from me.

 I turn to see my father standing in the doorway. “Hi, Dad.”

 He smirks, walks into the office, and glances at Richard. 

 “How are Mom and Corie?” Skylar asks.

 “Your mother is fine,” Dad laughs. “She is up and barking orders at the nurses. Corie is improving but still unconscious,” He frowns. “I am here to figure out how that god damned vampire got into my house.”

 “My grandma is coming and bringing a relative that can put up a barrier,” Amber tells him.

 “Well, there is a start,” Dad scoffs and wanders over to his chair. He plops down and pinches the bridge of his nose. 

“I called Alpha Jackson and talked him into coming here instead of us going there.”

 “Victor,” Gamma Tony knocks on the door and enters the office. “We couldn’t find any trace of the vampire. No scents or anything that would indicate how he got into the territory.”

 “He got into our house, Tony,” Dad snarls.

 “I know,” Tony sighs. 

 “I think he might be more than just a vampire,” Amber interjects.

 “Could be,” Dad sighs nonchalantly. “When is your grandmother coming, Amber?”

 “She said today but didn’t say when,” Amber responds.

 Dad stands up, “Well, I am going back to the hospital to be with my girls. Call me when Alpha Jackson gets here,” he says wearily and pats my shoulder before leaving the office.

 “I’ll be down the hall if you need me,” Richard says.

 “And I’m going to organize the patrols,” Tony states.

 The beta and gamma leave the office, and Skylar closes the door. I clap my hands, “Well, I guess we should just buckle down.” I sit in Dad’s chair and turn on the computer. I let out a long breath when I see the number of emails waiting.

 Amber walks around the desk and leans over me. Her breasts are next to my face, and it takes everything I have not to bend her over the desk. “What do you need me to do?”

 I shift in the seat as my dick becomes hard, “You could suck my dick,” I mention, and Amber glares at me.

 I pull her onto my lap. “You can help me answer emails,” I respond while Skylar sits on the edge of the desk. He licks his lips as Amber adjusts herself. “Are you teasing us?” I say against her cheek.

 “No,” she says in a childish tone. “I was just adjusting my tits.” She wiggles her chest, making my wolf purr.

 “You are making Castor purr like a damn cat,” I mention as I try to read the first email.

 “Oh, am I?” Amber rubs herself against me.

 I look at my twin, who looks ready to pounce on our mate. “She’s asking for it,” Skylar murmurs.

 “We need to get to work,” I squeak, returning my gaze to the screen.

 Amber keeps grinding herself against me, and it gets to be too much. I begin kissing her neck and rubbing her breasts. She straddles my legs while I stick my hand down her pants. She deftly unbuttons my pants, slides her hand into my boxers, and strokes my dick.

 Skylar walks around the desk and sits on the edge. He reaches over and massages Amber’s breasts while I kiss her. I nibble on my mark, and she lets out a moan. Skylar unbuttons her shirt.

 I find her clit and massage it while she is rubbing our dicks. The office door suddenly swings open, and Dad stands in the doorway.

 “Don’t mind me,” He mutters and walks in. “I forgot something,” He walks to the filing cabinets and opens a drawer.

 “Dad,” Skylar complains.

 “Oh, do you think you are doing something sneaky?” Dad smirks. “Generations of our family have been conceived in this office.” He pulls a file out and points at the chair, "Just so you know, I fucked your mother in that chair last week.” He grins and walks out of the office.

 We all pause for a moment to ponder what Dad just said.

 Amber stands up and zips up her pants. “Is there something else I can help with?” She asks.

 I point to a pile of papers, “You can go over the financials,” I mention.

 “I guess,” she grabs the papers, walks over to the couches, plops down on the floor, and places the paperwork on the coffee table. “Shoot, I need a pen.”

 Skylar tosses her a couple of pens. “Do you know what you are doing?” He asks.

 Amber shrugs.

 My twin huffs sits with her and shows her what to look for. I settle into answering emails and making a few phone calls. 

 There is a knock on the door, and Richard walks in, “Alpha Jackson’s entourage just arrived at the gates. I already mind-linked your father.”

 “Thanks, Richard,” I say and finish the email I am working on.

 Amber and Skylar walk over to the desk. She sets the papers down and smiles at Skylar. “We are done here.”

 I rise from the chair, and we walk out of the office. Skylar has his arm around Amber, and she is leaning into him. I felt a slight twinge of jealousy as I was the one she first warmed up to. Dad is waiting for us by the door. He changed into slacks and a black shirt.

 “Nice to see you changed out of sweats, Dad,” Skylar jokes.

 “Right,” Dad snorts as we walk outside.

 A line of SUVs arrives just as we step outside. One of our omegas steps forward to open the door of the lead vehicle. A tall thin man with no hair on his head steps out. He grins at Dad.

 “Victor,” He claps his hands.

 “Mason,” Dad responds with a little bit more restraint.

 “How are your mate and daughter?” Mason asks.

 “Alive,” Dad responds.

 “I am so sorry to hear what happened,” Mason frowns. “Sheila is a lovely woman, and Corie is so young.”

 “They will be okay,” Dad says.

 I turn my attention back to the vehicle as a tall woman with short curly hair exits the SUV. I recognize her as Beatrice Jackson, the future alpha of the Red Stone Pack.

 “Bebe,” Amber squeals and trots over to her.

 “Amber!” Beatrice responds. “What are you doing here in Nightstar?”

 Amber turns to Skylar and me, “Those two are my mates.”

 Beatrice gives us a look, “Those two?” 

 I glance at Skylar. “She says it like we are diseased.”

 “Yeah, I am stuck with them,” Amber laughs.

 Beatrice giggles and looks at us, “I’m Beatrice, but you can call me Bea,” She narrows her eyes at Amber, “I don’t like to be called Bebe.”

 Amber sticks her tongue out at her.

 “Boys,” Dad calls to us, “Let’s go inside, alright?”

 “I didn’t know you had Alpha Martin’s niece here,” Alpha Jackson states.

 “Oh, yeah, you didn’t hear?” Dad laughs. “She is Tyler and Skylar’s mate.” 

 Alpha Jackson’s eyes widen as we walk into the house. “I have been out of the loop, I guess.”

 We all walk into the meeting room, and Amber sits beside Bea. They chatter while we all get settled.

 “I want to keep this brief, Victor,” Alpha Jackson mentions. “I have other matters to attend to.”

 Dad pulls out the folder he had grabbed earlier and sets it on the table. He pulls out a few papers and slides them over to the other alpha. “This is what we agreed on.”

 Alpha Jackson picks up the papers and mumbles while reading them. “This is it,” He sets the documents down. Dad hands him a pen, and Alpha Jackson quickly signs the papers. Dad does the same.

 “Is that it?” I laugh.

 “That’s it,” Dad nods. “Would you like to stay for lunch, Mason?”

 “No, Victor. We have to get on the road,” Alpha Jackson says, rising from the table.

 Amber and Bea are whispering to each other and giggling.

 “Beatrice,” Alpha Jackson says to his daughter, “Time to go. You can visit Amber some other time.” He grins at Amber. 

 Bea sighs and stands up. She links arms with Amber, “I’ll learn all of the juicy details some other time.”

 “But you don’t even like guys,” Amber laughs.

 “So?” Bea laughs louder.

 They continue chattering while we walk out of the meeting room. 

 “Give Sheila my best,” Alpha Jackson says to Dad. “I’ll also pray for your daughter.”

 “Thank you, Mason,” Dad nods.

 We walk outside, and Amber’s grandmother is standing beside a Cadillac with another woman beside her and two men behind the car.

 “Grandma,” Amber squeals and runs over to hug her.

 Alpha Jackson looks at Phyllis, “Phyllis Martin,” He greets her.

 “Well, if it isn’t little Mason Jackson,” Phyllis laughs. 

 “I’m not little,” Alpha Jackson laughs. “What are you doing here?”

 “Just visiting my granddaughter,” She responds.

 “Oh,” Alpha Jackson eyes the other woman and the two strange men.

 The men are both rather large and have a strange scent coming from them.

 “I would love to stay and chat, but I have to get going,” Alpha Jackson says, approaching his vehicle. 

 Amber hugs Bea, “I’ll call you.”

 “You better,” Bea nods.

 Dad says goodbye to the other alpha and then turns his attention to Phyllis. “It’s good to see you came so quick, Phyllis. Who did you bring with you?”

 Grandma nods at the other woman, “This is Dawna Milford, and those are her two sons, Dale and Jake.”

 “Are they bears?” Dad asks.

 “Yes,” Dawna nods. 

 “Are you a bear?” I ask.

 “No,” Dawna responds in a sharp tone. “I heard you have a vampire problem.”

 “You heard right,” Dad nods.

 “I will get started right away on the barrier. We must protect our Queen at all costs,” Dawna smiles at Amber. "And after that, I will tell you everything you need to know about Marcellus Lafayette."
