 I woke up and snuggled in between the twins. Skylar’s head is on my chest while Tyler breathes into the back of my neck. I felt at peace at this moment. I stared at Skylar for a moment while lightly touching his arm. 

 He shifts and lets out a soft growl, “Quit,” he mutters.

 I giggle, and his eye pops open.

 Skylar rolls onto his back while Tyler pulls me into him. He lightly kisses the back of my neck, causing me to moan. Skylar growls, pulls me toward him and glares at his twin while kissing me.

 The tingles make goosebumps rise all over my arms. I let out another moan.

 “I can’t wait to hear you screaming,” Skylar muses in my ear.

 Tyler pulls me back toward him, “I wasn’t done, Skylar,” He grumbles and kisses my cheek and neck. I shudder as he lingers in one spot, “That is where my mark will be.”

 Skylar touches another spot on my neck, “And my mark will be there.”

 I get a little scared when they mention marking and try to wiggle away from them, but Tyler holds me while Skylar kisses me. 

 “Where do you think you are going?” Skylar growls.

 I let out a little whimper but can’t find words.

 “That’s what I thought,” Skylar breathes into my ear. “We are going to have you screaming.” His hand starts exploring my body along with Tyler’s.

 I whimper and moan as they take turns kissing me. I have never been kissed like this, let alone by two men simultaneously. 

 Skylar’s hand reaches the hem of my panties. “I can smell your arousal,” He whispers.

 We are interrupted by a light knock on the door and someone clearing their throat. “I’m glad to see the three of you working things out,” Dr. Stevens steps into the room. “I just need to give Amber one last exam before I release her.”

 I sit up with a grin, “You mean I get to fucking leave?”

 The doctor sighs, “Yes. But you still have to take it easy for another week.”

 “So, no training?” I fold my arms.

 “Yes,” The doctor nods while shooing the twins off the bed.

 “Damn,” I grumble. “I am going to be so out of shape.”

 “We’ll help you get back into shape,” Tyler smiles.

 Dr. Stevens quickly examines me and makes a note in the chart, “Okay. All good.” He smiles, “Let’s hope I don’t see you back here for a while.”

 “Mom left some clothes for you last night,” Tyler points to a bag sitting on a chair. 

 I slide off the bed and stumble toward the chair, “I am going to take a quick shower,” I mention and head towards the bathroom.

 “Can we join you?” Tyler waggles his eyebrows.

 I ignore him, slip into the bathroom, and close the door behind me. 

The hot water feels good on my sore body. The wound may be healed, but it still hurts. I lean against the cold tile while the water cascades down my back. 

 After the shower, I dug into the bag that Sheila had brought. I smile when I find one of my favorite pairs of pants and my Pink Floyd t-shirt. “Score,” I say as I slip on the pants. 

 “Are you okay in there?” Tyler says while knocking on the door.

 “I’m fine,” I respond.

 “Your Dad is out here,” He announces.

 “I’ll be right out, Tyler.” I finish getting dressed and comb my hair, then walk out of the bathroom. Dad is talking to the twins and smiles at me.

 “Hey, kiddo,” He grins and holds his arms out.

 “Dad,” I hug him causing the twins to growl.

 He laughs, “How cute. Your mates are mad that I dare hug my own daughter,” He muses in my ear.

 “It was my wolf,” Tyler and Skylar both say at the same time.

 I pull away from my father.

 “Henry wants us to return to Shadow Winds after breakfast,” He informs me. 

 “Are you taking Savannah?” I wonder and glance at Skylar, who shifts uncomfortably.

 “Yeah, Henry invited her parents to help get her settled,” Dad responds.

 “That was nice of him,” I laugh. 

 “Henry has his moments,” Dad chuckles.

 My stomach rumbles.

 “We need to get you some food,” Tyler smirks. 

 “I’m not hungry,” I say as my stomach gurgles again.

 “Right,” Tyler snorts.

 “Listen to your mate, honey,” Dad pats my arm.

 We all leave the room and head out of the hospital. There is an SUV waiting for us in front.

 I slide in and wind up sitting between the twins while Dad sits up front with the driver. I see that it’s Jett. “Hey, Jett,” I greet him.

 He glances back, “Luna,” He nods.

 “Luna?” I huff. “I’m not the Luna.”

 “Alpha Victor told us to start calling you Luna,” Jett informs me.

 “Did you guys know about that?” I ask the twins.

 “No,” Skylar shrugs. 

 “You don’t have to call me that, Jett. It’s still just Amber,” I tell my friend.

 “I’d rather not anger my alpha,” Jett mumbles.

 “We’ll talk to our Dad about it,” Tyler pats his shoulder.

 Dad turns to me with a grin.

 “What?” I huff at him.

 “You should get used to being called that, honey,” He tells me.

 “Dad,” I roll my eyes.

 “Well,” Dad shrugs with a laugh.

 We reach the packhouse and file out of the vehicle. I try to go toward the elevators as we enter the building, but Tyler stops me.

 “We should get breakfast first,” he says. 

 My stomach rumbles again, and I sigh, “If you insist,” 

 The twins both take my hand and head toward the dining room. A lot of pack members are gathered inside the room. Their parents are already eating. Alpha Victor is talking to my uncle while Sheila is speaking to my grandmother.

 Grandma grins at me, “It’s good to see you up and about, sweetheart.”

 Luna Sheila eyes the three of us with a huge smile. 

 “Thank you for the clothes,” I say to her. 

 “You are welcome,” Sheila grins as we sit down. 

 Alpha Victor rises from his seat and clears his throat. The pack members all quiet down. “Good morning, Nightstar Pack. 

I have a couple of announcements. First, I would like to thank Alpha Henry Martin for his help this week. Second,” He looks at us and nods. The twins stand up, pulling me to my feet. “Second, I would like to officially announce Amber Payne as the fated mate of my sons, Tyler and Skylar Brooks. Amber is the niece of Alpha Henry Martin. I believe she will make a fine Luna for this pack. She is strong and intelligent. I know you all thought Savannah Grant would be the next Luna, but she will be going to Shadow Winds.”

 I see Savannah sitting with her parents and brother. She smiles at me, and I return it. Victor finishes his speech, and we sit down again. An omega I haven’t met yet approaches us. 

 “What would you like to eat this morning, Luna?” She asks me.

 I shift uncomfortably. I am not used to being called that yet. I look at Sheila, and she still has a big smile.

 “I would just like something light,” I mention. “Like a couple of eggs and a couple of pieces of bacon.”

 “How would you like your eggs cooked?” The omega asks.

 “Fried, over easy,” I respond.

 “Toast?”

 “Sure,” I nod. “Just a little butter and maybe some orange juice.”

 “Will do, Luna,” the omega smiles.

 “You can just call me Amber,” I tell her.

 She bows slightly and looks at the twins to take their orders.

 “Amber, I asked everyone to start calling you Luna,” Victor mentions.

 “It’s not necessary. Sheila is still Luna,” I tell him.

 “I’m fine with it, dear,” Sheila interjects. “It’s customary to call the next alpha's mate, Luna as well.” 

 “It feels weird,” I mumble.

 While waiting for breakfast, I get up and walk over to Savannah, “Are you excited to be going to Shadow Winds?” 

 She looks up at me, “Yes, I am. Aja has even come out of hiding and seems happy about the move.”

 “I told her that her second chance mate may be there,” her mother Juli says.

 “I’m not ready for another mate, Mom,” Savannah shudders.

 “I told my cousin Kaylee about you,” I sit beside Savannah.

 “Really?”

 “Yeah,” I touch her hand. “You’ll like Kaylee. She is really sweet. Then there is Brandy, Deacon’s mate.”

 “I hope they all like me,” Savannah frowns slightly.

 “I don’t see why they wouldn’t,” I shrug.

 “Well, because I was their chosen mate, “she nods at the twins.

 “I was never sour about that, Savannah. And if Kaylee and Brandy don’t treat you right, then I’ll come to Shadow Winds and kick their butts,” I state, and she laughs. “Then there is my friend Dewey.” I watch as Savannah shudders.

 “Aja made a weird sound when you mentioned that name. Who is he?”

 “Dewey is the beta’s son, well, former beta. He is the current beta’s younger brother. He and I go way back,” I explain.

 “Every time you say his name, my wolf whines,” she smiles softly. “Is he cute?”

 “Like a donkey’s ass,” I mention with a laugh. Savannah narrows her eyes at me, and I laugh harder. “No, Dewey is adorable and a good guy. Why?”

 She shakes her head.

 “Amber,” Tyler calls to me, and I see the omega putting my breakfast on the table.

 “Anyways, I have to go eat,” I stand up.

 “Okay, Amber,” Savannah smiles.

 I sit between the twins. The food smells good, and I salt it before taking a bite of the eggs. 

 “That doesn’t look like enough food,” Skylar mentions.

 “I have never been able to eat a lot in the morning,” I tell him. I notice he and Tyler have lumberjack breakfasts with steak, potatoes, biscuits, etc. I reach over with my fork to take a potato off Skylar’s plate.

 He growls. “Pollux doesn’t like it when people steal my food.”

 “Right,” I look into his eyes. “I’m sure Pollux will be fine with his mate needing sustenance and taking it from your plate.”

 I hear a whimper in my head, and Lilith snickers. ‘Pollux feels bad now,’ she tells me.

 ‘Good.’

 “You can steal my food,” Tyler joins in. 

 I take a bite of a biscuit from him. “These are delicious.”

 “No shit,” Skylar snorts.

 We finish breakfast and go to the front of the packhouse. The SUVs are lined up in front. I watch as Cal is dragged toward one in chains.

 “What are you going to do with him?” I ask Uncle Henry.

 “Cal is going to the Work Camp,” Uncle Henry responds.

 The Work Camp is where wolves who have committed crimes in their packs are sent to. It’s funded by many of the packs, and the Council oversees its operation. The inmates are required to spend most of their day working hard in the sun. They do different kinds of intense labor. Then they move on to less work over the years and earn privileges through good behavior. Eventually, they are evaluated and sent back to their home pack. 

 Cal eyes me as he walks by me.

 The twins close ranks beside me, and I am sandwiched between them. I still feel sad that Cal and I couldn’t remain friends. But he had to ruin it by kidnapping me. They both growl as Oliver Timmons is dragged by us.

 “And Oliver?” Skylar growls.

 “We are taking him to the council,” Uncle Henry replies. “His crime was far more heinous, and they will decide his fate.”

 “What are you going to do about Alpha Timmons?” Tyler asks.

 “We are still working on that,” My uncle tells us. 

 “So, you are letting him get away with paying Cal to kidnap our mate?” Skylar snarls.

 “Patience, Skylar,” Uncle Henry touches his arm. He shifts his gaze to me, “You be good, Amber. I know you weren’t happy about coming here. But I am proud to see you thriving here.”

 I shrug, “I don’t know about thriving.”

 My uncle hugs me, “Everything will work out.” He releases me, and I turn to my father.

 “We’ll be back soon,” Dad tells me. 

 “I’ll miss you, Dad,” I sniffle.

 “I am always here for you, sweetie,” He kisses my cheek. He releases me and narrows his eyes at the twins, “You two take care of my daughter or else.”

 Tyler puts his arm around me, “We’ll take good care of her, Flynt.”

 Grandma walks up and pulls me away from the others. “I told Victor and Sheila not to mention that you are royalty yet. It’s not the time for it yet.”

 “So- “

 “The goddess will tell us when the time is right. For now, focus on being the best Luna you can be for this pack,” She squeezes me.

 “I just wanted to be a warrior, Grandma,” I whine.

 “Amber Payne,” Grandma pinches my cheek, “You can still be a warrior and a Luna. The best Lunas are also great warriors. Okay?” She looks me in the eye.

 “Okay, Grandma.”

 She hugs me tight, “Your mother would be so proud of you.”

 Tears well up in my eyes. “I love you, Grandma.”

 “Ditto,” She smirks and releases me. 

 “Tell Grandpa I said hi.”

 She nods and walks towards the SUVs. Uncle Henry opens a door for her. I wave as they all get into the vehicles. I feel a little sad as they pull away. Tyler puts his arm around me.

 “It will be okay,” Tyler squeezes me.

 “What should we do now?” I wonder.

 Tyler smirks and looks at his brother, “I know what we can do,” He waggles his eyebrows.
