 Amber got up to answer the door. I expected it to be our pizza.

 “What do you want?” She says angrily. 

 I turn to see my twin standing in the doorway. “Can I hang out with you guys?” Skylar asks.

 “No,” Amber responds and tries to close the door, but Skylar stops it.

 “Let him in,” I say to her.

 Amber glares at me, “No,” She huffs.

 I hop up and walk over to them, “He is your mate, too,” I plead.

 She breathes heavily through her nose and glares at me.

 “I just want to hang out,” Skylar mumbles.

 “Fine,” Amber snarls.

 “Excuse me, alphas,” A female voice says just outside the door.

 “Gina,” Amber grins at her.

 “I have your pizzas and other food,” Gina pushes a food cart into the room.

 “Did you make them?” Amber asks excitedly.

 Gina shrugs as she pushes the cart into the room, “I just make the dough. My mom and sister did the rest.”

 “That’s still cool,” Amber laughs. “You guys know Gina?”

 “Og course we do,” Skylar snorts. “She’s a member of our pack.”

 Gina smiles awkwardly.

 “We can take it from here,” I tell her.

 “Okay,” Gina nods.

 “I’ll see you sometime, Gina,” Amber waves.

 Skylar rolls his eyes and saunters over to the couch. I push the cart over, and Amber helps me unload it. There are two pizzas, a basket of mild wings, and three 2 liters of soda. 

 “Wow, they sent a lot,” Amber laughs.

 We take a few minutes to dish up our food and restart the movie. 

 “Really, this old movie?” Skylar scoffs. 

 I am sitting between my twin and Amber. They keep glaring at each other. “Yeah, Amber picked it.”

 “Of course, she did,” Skylar mumbles while munching on pizza. “Can we watch something good next?” He chuckles. “Like a good horror movie.”

 “I don’t like horror movies,” Amber replies. 

 “Really?” I ask.

 “I don’t like blood and gore,” She shakes her head.

 Skylar laughs, “You are a warrior.”

 “Yeah? So?” Amber grumbles. “Just because I am a warrior doesn’t mean I want to be entertained by gore.”

 Skylar snorts and mumbles something under his breath.

 “Do you have something to say to me?” Amber glares at him.

 “Can we just watch the movie?” I interject and shake my head. “I wish you two would get over yourselves,” I mutter.

 They both get quiet while we eat the food and finish the movie. 

 “What should we watch next?” Amber asks and grabs the remote. She begins flipping through channels.

 “Why do you wake up screaming?” Skylar suddenly blurts out.

 “What?” Amber snorts.

 “Last night, you woke up screaming,” Skylar replies. “Why?”

 “What does it matter to you?” Amber scoffs. 

 “It matters,” Skylar growls.

 Amber shakes her head, “Yeah, whatever,” She mumbles and flips through movies. There is a moment of silence between the three of us. “Did you really sleep in here last night?” She asks Skylar.

 “He did,” I respond.

 “I can answer for myself, Tyler,” My twin growls. “Yes, I did. My wolf felt your sorrow, and I came in to comfort you.”

 Amber lets out a laugh.

 “Why is that funny to you?” Skylar glares at her.

 “It’s not,” Amber mumbles. She settles on a Marvel movie. “Do you like Marvel?”

 “Sure,” I say, trying to break the tension between her and Skylar.

 “How about Captain America: The Winter Soldier?” 

 “That’s great,” I say.

 She puts on the movie and pours herself a cup of soda. We sit in silence as the movie starts. Skylar is sitting on the other side of me with his arms folded. 

 I hate being caught in the middle of them. ‘They are so similar,’ I say to myself.

 ‘No kidding,’ Castor chuckles.

 “My mother was ripped apart in front of me by rogues when I was thirteen,” Amber blurts out.

 Skylar looks past me at her, “Really? I didn’t know.” He sighs, “I am really sorry to hear that.”

 Amber stares at him momentarily, “Thank you, I guess.”

 “I hate rogues,” it’s Skylar declares. “I mean not all of them, just most of them.”

 “Not all rogues are bad,” Amber argues. “These rogues were hired to kill my mom to get to my uncle.”

 “Fuck,” Skylar huffs. “I hope they are all dead.”

 Amber smirks, “Oh, my Dad, uncle, and grandfather ripped them apart and then mailed the pieces back to the people who hired them.”

 “Who hired them?” Skylar wonders.

 Amber shrugs, “My father and uncle won’t tell me.”

 We get quiet for a moment and watch the movie. 

 I hear sniffling from Amber and see she is crying, “Are you crying?” I ask as Castor whimpers.

 She shakes her head.

 “Then why is my wolf whimpering?” Skylar groans.

 Amber says nothing, gets off the couch, and rushes ito the bathroom, slamming the door behind her. The movie is forgotten as Skylar, and I stare at the door. I can hear her sobbing inside.

 ‘Comfort her,’ Castor compels me.

 I get up and walk to the door. Skylar is right behind me. “Amber,” I knock on the door. “Are you alright?”

 “Go away,” She sniffles.

 I open the door and see her sitting on the edge of the bathtub. 

 “I said go away,” She glares at us.

 “Honey,” I step toward her. “You are our mate. Your sorrow is our sorrow,” I hold my hand to her.

 She stares at it for a moment before taking it.

 “Come on,” I pull her towards me, and she buries her face in my chest. Skylar stands beside me awkwardly.

 Amber sobs for a moment before pulling back, “Sorry. It’s been six years since my mom died and-“

 I hook a finger under her chin, “Honey, it’s okay. She was your mother. It’s okay to still be sad, right Sky?”

 “Yeah,” My twin nods and walks out of the bathroom.

 I hug her and kiss the top of her head, “Do you still want to watch movies?”

 Amber nods, “Yeah. I’ll be out in a second.”

 I kiss her again, and she unravels herself from me. I head out of the bathroom and sit on the couch beside Skylar. My brother seems to be staring off into space.

 “I think Oliver Timmons is Savannah’s mate,” He mutters.

 “I sort of sensed that,” I respond.

 “I don’t want to give her up,” He folds his arms. “But Savannah seems keen on meeting him.”

 “Is that what you two were discussing?” I ask.

 “Yeah, Tyler. Our mate is about to leave us,” Skylar nearly yells while glancing at the bathroom door.

 “Our mate is crying in the bathroom, Sky,” I mention, and he rolls his eyes. “The more you two fight it, the worse it gets.” I turn my attention back to the movie. Moments later, Amber emerges from the bathroom and flops on the couch beside me. I pat my chest, and she lays on me. The tingles from her touch is amazing.

 Skylar eyes us as Amber settles on me. He sighs and looks away.

 I lightly stroke Amber’s arm. She looks up at me with those brown eyes of hers. I run my hand down her cheek, and she leans in to kiss me. Skylar whimpers as we hold the kiss. He reaches over and touches her cheek.

 Amber pulls back from me and stares at Skylar. He leans in, moves a strand of hair behind her ear, and then kisses her. My brother kissing her while she’s leaning on my chest is a little weird.

 Amber breaks from Skylar and kisses me again. My twin moves to the other side of Amber and runs his hands up and down the side of her body. She lets out a moan as I deepen the kiss.

 I slide my hand down her chest and touch her breasts. She seems into it for a few minutes until Skylar goes down her belly.

 “Wait,” She squeaks and scrambles off the couch. “I can’t do this,” She waves her hands. “I am not ready,” She storms away from us with her hands on her head. “I don’t want to end up staying here,” She mutters and paces.

 “What are you talking about?” I ask as Skylar, and I rise from the couch.

 “You guys have to go now,” Amber shakes her head. “I can’t get close.”

 “Why?” I step toward her as she steps back,

 “I can’t, I just can’t,” She opens the door. “Please leave,” She points.

 I look at Skylar, who appears more hurt than angry. 

 “Bye,” He grumbles and storms out of the room. 

 I linger for a moment and try to touch her cheek, but she steps back. I sigh again, “Goodnight, Amber.” She slams the door behind me. 

 “That was shitshow,” Skylar mumbles and runs into his room, slamming the door behind him.

 I slink toward my room while Castor whines in my head. ‘What do I have to do, Castor?’

 ‘You are doing everything right, Tyler,’ He responds. ‘Amber and Skylar are working so hard to resist that it’s hurting both of them. And in the end, it will hurt all of us.’

 I take off all of my clothes except my boxers and flop on my bed. I stare up at the ceiling. I just want my mate beside me. Tears well up in my eyes as I feel sorrow and sadness coming from both my twin and mate. “Why am I caught in the middle?” I say as I cry myself to sleep. 

 A few hours later, I woke up to pain in my chest. It’s not the same as when she kissed Cal Walker. It’s like the other night when she was crying in her sleep. I get out of bed and head to her room. I open the door and see her sleeping on the couch. She is crying out to her mother.

 I kneel beside her and touch her wet cheek.

 “Is she okay?” Skylar asks from the doorway.

 Amber opens her eyes and jolts.

 “It’s okay, sweetie,” I assure her.

 “Tyler,” she sniffles.

 I pull her into my arms, “It’s alright, sweetie,” I repeat, lifting her and carrying her to the bed.

 “Why does she sleep on the couch?” Skylar scoffs as I set her down.

 Amber clings to me for a moment. “Don’t leave,” She whispers.

 “I won’t,” I whisper back. I climb into bed, and she wraps her arms around me. Skylar climbs in behind her and wraps his arms around her.

 Amber freezes and turns to look at him.

 “Just let him comfort you, too,” I tell her. “That is what we are here for.”

 She says nothing and settles in between us. In no time, she is fast asleep. I look at my brother, who is just staring at her.

 “You love her too, don’t you?” I ask.

 He gives me a look but says nothing.

 “Goodnight, brother,” I say as he closes his eyes.

 “Night,” He responds.

 I rub her arms and sigh, “This is where you belong, Amber,” I whisper and close my eyes. Before long, all three of us are asleep, and I have no doubt we all have the same dream of our wolves running happily through the woods.

 r, trot happily to her, and pull her into my arms.

 “Hello,” Savannah looks up at me and wrinkles her nose. Her green eyes become darker for a moment. “Why do you smell like mocha?”

 “I don’t know,” I huff.

 “I smell mocha, and my wolf is going nuts,” She shakes her head and pulls away from me.

 ‘Fuck,’ I curse to myself.
