 I woke up to Amber lying almost completely on top of me and grinding herself against my crotch. The tingles that spread through my body from the contact were orgasmic. I had my arm wrapped around her shoulder and just stared at her. I wasn’t sure what to feel. 

 Amber suddenly stops, and her eyes open. We stare at each other momentarily before she scrambles away from me. She says nothing as she turns over to face Tyler. 

 Tyler is awake and brushes his hand on her cheek. He looks at me, but I say nothing as I roll out of bed.

 “Don’t linger too long,” I say to my brother. “Dad will be mad if you are late,” I grumble and walk towards the door. “Bye,” I say to no one and slink out of the room. My head is abuzz as I still feel the tingles from Amber lying on me. I don’t want to admit that I am starting to feel something for her. “She isn’t my mate,” I mutter to myself.

 ‘Denial will only hurt you,’ Pollux speaks up. 

 “Good morning, Skylar,” Dad greets me. Mom is standing beside him. “I see you just came out of Amber’s room,” He grins.

 I shrug, “So?”

 “Finally realizing who your true mate is,” He lifts an eyebrow.

 “No,” I grumble and plod toward my room.

 “Keep denying it, Skylar,” Dad laughs as I enter my room and shut the door behind me.

 I head into the bathroom and take a long shower. Images of Amber rush through my mind, and I know it’s not Pollux doing it. 

 She is beautiful and intelligent, but I still can’t accept her. I want to have more control over who I am with. I don’t need the moon fairy to tell me who to love. I love Savannah.

 ‘Savannah has a mate,’ Pollux chimes in.

 ‘Yeah, me and Tyler,’ I respond.

 ‘You know that isn’t true,’ He huffs.

 ‘Whatever,’ I shrug. I finish my shower, go into my closet, and look through my clothes. I choose a pair of jeans and a grey polo shirt to wear. I comb my short hair and head out of my room just as Tyler walks out of his. He is dressed almost the same but wearing a blue shirt.

 Amber is down by the elevators. I can’t help but look her up and down. She is wearing black workout pants and a grey sports bra with a white tank top over it. 

 “Should you go around dressed like that?” I blurt out.

 Amber narrows her eyes at me, “Don’t worry about what I am wearing, alright?”

 “I’m not worried. I don’t think you should go around looking like a tramp,” I mention.

 “Sky,” Tyler hisses.

 “Oh, fuck off,” Amber growls. “I am not going to train while wearing a god damned suit. So, get over yourself.”

 I say nothing else as the door opens, and we all step on.

 “I don’t care what you are wearing,” Tyler kisses up to her. “I think you look cute.”

 Amber sighs but says nothing.

 The door opens, and Savannah gets on the elevator with Ethan. She looks good in a tight pair of jeans and a white blouse.

 “That’s a cute blouse,” Amber says to her.

 “Really?” Savannah chuckles. “Thank you.”

 I roll my eyes. I still don’t like them being friends. I don’t know why it bothers me. “Good morning, sweetie,” I attempt to wrap my arm around Savannah, but she pulls away. I growl and reach for her again. 

 Savannah leans against Ethan, “I’m just not feeling it today, Sky.”

 “Feeling what? Our love?” I say while glancing at Amber. She rolls her eyes, and that makes me angrier for some reason.

 The door opens, and Savannah rushes off. I follow her, ignoring glances from Tyler and Amber. 

 “Savannah,” I call to her and grab her arm. “Are you saying you don’t love me anymore?” I almost growl.

 She cringes and looks away, " I love you, Skylar. And Tyler too. But it’s like the kind of love I feel for Ethan.”

 “You love me like your brother?” I shout.

 “Skylar, can we not do this?” She sniffles. “Look, things are changing.”

 “You are my mate!” I yell.

 Savannah shrinks away from me, “I want my fated mate,” She whispers.

 “WHAT?!” 

 “Skylar!” Dad calls to me and runs up to me with Richard.

 Savannah breaks from my grip and runs into her father’s arms.

 “Why are you yelling at my daughter?” Richard growls.

 “Everything is going to shit,” I say and see Amber down the hall. She looks hurt, but I don’t want to care. “Ever since she got here,” I point at Amber and storm out of the house through a side door.

 I stand outside for a few minutes and stare at the woods surrounding the packhouse. I take several deep breaths before going back into the house. I wander into the dining room and see Amber talking to Savannah, Corie, and other girls. They are all waiting in line at the buffet. 

Everyone seems to be drawn to Amber.

 “They know, son,” Dad slaps my back, suddenly causing me to jump.

 “Know what?” I mutter.

 “Our pack knows their true Luna, so they are naturally drawn to her. And from what I see, Amber will be a good Luna like your mother,” He explains.

 “Savannah is going to be their Luna,” I mumble.

 Dad takes a deep breath, “I was hesitant about accepting your mother. I was only eighteen when we met and didn’t think I was ready. But then I saw Sheila with the pack,” He trails off. “I’m not saying Savannah wouldn’t be a good Luna, but she isn’t the true Luna of this pack.”

 I sigh and watch as Amber sits with Savannah and my sister. They are all laughing and having a good time. I don’t know why it annoys me. 

 “Get you some breakfast, Skylar. We have a long day ahead of us,” Dad says before walking away.

 I slink over to the buffet and pick up a plate. Nothing looks good as my stomach is in knots, so I put the plate back and grab a coffee and a Danish. 

I sit by my brother. He is watching Amber.

 “Everyone loves her,” Tyler grins.

 “Not everyone,” I mumble between sips of coffee.

 “I know how you feel, Sky,” Tyler leans over.

 “You don’t know shit, Ty,” I scoff. “Savannah is still our mate.”

 “Not ours,” Tyler crunches down on a piece of bacon.

 I finish my coffee and Danish. “I’ll be in the office, Dad,” I say to my father and stand up. I walk out of the dining hall and towards the office. My heart is thrumming against my chest. ‘I don’t love her. I don’t even care about her.’

 Pollux snorts but says nothing.

 ‘Shut up,’ I snarl at him. I enter the office and sit on the couch in a huff. 

I cover my face with my hand and close my eyes. Moments later, I am woken up by Dad and a few others walking into the office.

 “Are you awake, Skylar?” Dad pats my arm.

 “Yes,” I snarl.

 “Good,” He laughs.

 He hands Tyler and me some stuff to work on. It takes a lot of effort to concentrate as Amber dances in my mind. 

 ‘Accept her, and life will be easier,’ Pollux mentions.

 I let out a frustrated sigh, and my father laughed. 

 “Why don’t you boys take a break? Maybe go check on training,” He suggests.

 I look at Tyler, who seems to be staring at the paperwork. “Fine,” I stand up. “Come on,” I grab my brother.

 Dad laughs as we leave the office.

 “I couldn’t concentrate,” Tyler sighs. 

 “Yeah,” I snort.

 We walk out of the house and towards the training grounds. Amber is heavy on my mind. All of my time with Savannah is slowly being replaced, and I don’t know what to feel. 

 We make it to the training grounds, and the scent of wild raspberries leads us to where Amber is training the new warriors. They all seem to listen intently to her as she and Dani Walker instruct them. 

 Tyler and I watch for a few minutes. Amber glances towards us a few times but manages to keep going without faltering. 

 “She’s good,” Tyler mentions.

 “Hmm,” is the only sound I make.

 “Amber is doing a good job training,” Cole Walker says as he walks towards us. “The pups have taken to her.”

 “Well, she has Dani to help,” I point out.

 “Amber has taken the lead,” Cole points out. “I think she is going to be a magnificent Luna. And I have heard that she has an abnormally large alpha she-wolf. Imagine the possibilities,” Cole grins.

 “Savannah Grant is our Luna,” I grumble.

 Cole shakes his head, “You say that now, young alpha.”

 “She is,” I growl.

 Cole looks at Tyler, who sighs. “Anyways, I’ll see you both later.”

 I walk towards Amber. She is instructing a pair of warriors.

 “Keep your eye on your opponent at all times,” she tells them.

 I stand near her with my arms folded. 

 “Keep doing that exercise,” she says and turns to me. “What?”

 Tyler joins us a moment later, “We were just watching.”

 “And?” Amber sneers at me, making my anger boil.

 “It’s our right to see how the training of our warriors is going,” I respond. “We wouldn’t want you turning them against us.”

 “I would never do that,” Amber sighs and steps away. She goes to another pair of sparring warriors. She shows them both a different stance. “That way, you’ll have better balance, and it will be harder to knock you off your feet.”

 “Thanks, Trainer Amber,” The young male nods.

 She wanders toward us again. Her body is gleaming with sweat, and her scent makes my mouth water. Pollux is panting in my head. 

 “Why are you looking at me like that?” She glares at me.

 ‘I want to run with Lilith,’ Pollux speaks up.

 “Pollux wants to run with Lilith,” I blurt out.

 “Castor, too,” Tyler adds.

 Amber sighs, “I guess we can do that later.”

 “No, after training,” I say. “When you are done training, we are going for a run.”

 “You can’t just-“ She pauses as her brown eyes turn to gold for a second. “Fine, Lilith wants to go too.”

 “Then it’s a date,” I grin and pat her shoulder before walking away.

 I walk away towards the bleachers and see Cal Walker spying from behind them. I amble towards him. “What’s with the creeping around, Cal?”

 He shrugs and stares at Amber, “I am just looking.”

 “You know you aren’t allowed near her,” Tyler growls.

 “I’m not,” Cal snorts. 

 “She’s not yours,” Tyler steps toward him.

 “You guys don’t even want her,” Cal growls. “Maybe let someone else have her.”

 I let out a dark laugh, “And why would we do that, Callen?” I hiss. “Amber Payne is our mate. What we do or how we treat her is none of your business. Maybe go back to your own mate,” I get in his face.

 “You know I rejected her,” Cal snorts.

 “Well, we aren’t rejecting Amber,” I declare. “Now, get out of here before I put you in the cells.”

 Cal glares at me and starts to walk away.

 “Oh, and Cal,” I call to him. He turns to me, “It felt good to have her on top of me in bed this morning,” I state. 

 Cal lets out a low growl and rushes away from us.

 “I knew you liked it,” Tyler chuckles.

 “Shut up,” I hiss and sit on the bleachers. I can’t take my eyes off, Amber.

 “You don’t think I don’t see you watching her,” Tyler sits beside me.

 I shake my head, “Of course, I am watching her, Ty. I can’t get her out of my head.”

 “Because you are falling for her,” Tyler nudges me.

 “It’s just the stupid bond,” I growl. “Once we mark Savannah, it won’t be a problem,” I mention.

 “I’m not marking Savannah,” Tyler argues. “I love Amber.”

 “Well, I love Savannah,” I jump off the bleachers.

 Tyler snorts but says nothing.

 I look at the field, and Amber is dismissing her students. She then trots towards us.

 “Should I take a shower first?” She chuckles.

 “Maybe after our run,” Tyler shrugs.

 “Okay,” Amber laughs, and we all head toward the woods. We reach the edge, and she starts to take off her clothes. I had already seen her naked, but it didn’t stop me from staring. Amber looks right at me as she peels off her sweaty bra. “Like what you see?” She wiggles with a smirk,

 My dick twitches, and it takes everything I have not to shove her against a tree and fuck her brains out. “Yes, actually I do,” I say while removing my clothes. Her eyes widen as I slide my jeans and boxers down. My dick is at half mast, and I can’t help but cock my hip.

 “I’ve seen bigger,” Amber says.

 “No, you haven’t,” I respond.

 Amber blushes and looks away, “Let’s just shift.” 

 I watch as she turns into her large solid black wolf. I can’t deny how magnificent her beast is. I glance over to see that Tyler has already shifted. 

 ‘Let’s go,’ Pollux pushes.

 I let him take control and shift. Our three wolves circle each other briefly before Lilith takes off into the woods. 

	Castor yips happily as we take off after her. My twin and I run side by side after our mate. Pollux pulls ahead and attempts to tackle Lilith, but she dodges him and puts on speed.

 ‘We will catch you,’ He mind links her.

 ‘I’d like to see you try,’ She responds.

 ‘How are you mind linking her?’ I ask. ‘She isn’t part of the pack yet.’

 ‘Wolves can talk to their mates no matter what,’ Pollux replies.

 We run through thick brush and over creeks. The territory is large, so there is a lot of ground to cover. The three of us chase and play for an hour. Then the wolves decide to race, and we lose Lilith.

 Pollux follows her scent, but we can’t see her.

 ‘Where is she?’ Castor asks.

 I then catch the horrid stench of rogues in the air and hear growling. I look at my twin, and we head toward the sounds. We come into a clearing, and Lilith is surrounded by a dozen rogues.

 They see us and lick their lips before lunging for my mate.
