Janelle's Pov
When it was night time, I got dressed in a black short gown and wore my silver 'eels with it.
I checked the lengthy mirror in my room and nodded in satisfaction with my looks.
I grab my phone on the table and put a call across to Diana.
"Hey, wassup?."she asked immediately she picked the call.
I rolled my eyes and folded my left hand under my right one and leaned my back on my table.
"Well, I'm ready. So much of a hooker you are to forget about giving me the address."I scoffed.
"Oh, how can I forget such."she chuckled.
"Anyway, babes. Peep out of your window, Hun?."she added enthusiastically.
"What is it again.."I grumbled.
"C'mon, check it out."she urged.
I breathed out heavily before walking to the window side and drawing the curtains apart, I peeped out only for me to see a car parked in our lawn.
"Huhhh?..."
"Huhh??..., did you see that?. Well, you should take back your words cause I'm sure an exact hooker!."she said and hang up.
I scoffed and removed the phone from my ear.
Well, I guess I have to go.
I took my purse and moved out of the room.
"Do you know the guy outside?, he said he's waiting for you."mom asked me as I walked inside the living room.
"Well... yeah. i.. uhm.. do know him."I nodded in affirmation and cursed the fact that I had to stutter.
Mom looked at me suspiciously before nodding.
"Who is he by the way?. Your boyfriend?."she asked.
Boyfriend?. That sure isn't the way to put it.
"Let's just say he is."I replied vaguely.
Mom smiled and now, it was my time to look at her suspiciously and confusedly.
"I'm happy you're my daughter and I'm proud of you. You sure are good with words, I guess that's why you're a prosecutor. Do you know what?, a woman came to me at the convenience store and commented you for being a great prosecutor."she expounded.
"Thanks for the compliment. But, what do you mean by a woman came to the convenience store and lay comment on me?."
"Well, yeah. She did came. And now i see that it is no lie."mom chuckled.
"Ah, alright. I'll be on my way."I announced to mom who suddenly look like she was lost in thought.
"Janelle?."she called.
"Uhm?."I answered while walking towards the entrance door.
"Can you be someone's requested wife?."she suddenly asked out of the blue.

I stopped and turned to her.
"What do you mean?, someone's requested wife?. I've never heard such and what?."I laughed.
"That's nonsense. Why do you ask me that."I added.
She gazed at me for some minutes and shook her head vigorously.
"No. Nothing. Nevermind."she gave a faded smile.

I nodded then moved out of the house.
